"Reaching our City with the Good News"
Are you using your gift? According to 1 Corinthinans 12, the Holy Spirit gives every follower of Christ at least one spiritual gift. These God-given abilities are bestowed so that the church can function effectively and grow strong.
We are to use our gifts, whether teaching, encouraging, or helping others, all in service to Christ. When we don’t, His church suffers because the ministry is incomplete. This Sunday morning I’ll be preaching a message from Acts 17 entitled: “Reaching Our City with the Good News.” Let me encourage you to ask God to show you someone this week that you can help.

I believe 2012 will be an extremely strategic year in the life of our family of faith. It is now time for us to “dare to dream” about the mountains God has in store for us. As each of us “dare to dream” our walk with Jesus Christ will become more and more attractive to those around us. In turn we can each become light in a dark and desperate world. Will all our problems be resolved? Will we avoid every storm and the turmoil that often follows? Of course not, storms will continue to come and go, but we can once again be a people of hope, a people of faith, a people who “dare to dream”!
If you are looking for a perfect church, Heart of Worship Baptist is not for you. But, if you are looking for a place where you can come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, follow and serve Him, this is the place for you.
